Evergreen shrubs in about 8 species grown for their aromatic, sometimes glossy leaves, and their fragrant, starry white flowers that attract butterflies. Grow in a border, against a warm wall, or in a cool greenhouse. Some cultivars have yellow foliage or pinkish flowers.

CareGrow in full sun or light shade in fertile, well-drained soil. In the greenhouse, site in full light and water freely during the growing season.
