Re: Spring Discoveries
“Maybe they aren’t in the right place, as they’re a bit easy to overlook.” I’ve always used the out-of-the-way spring bloomers as an excuse to wander—repeatedly— around our property to check on what might have popped up overnight, to uproot some persistent dandelions, to dream about companions for next year. If the neighbors ask what I’m up to, I have an answer they can relate to.(The little girls next door have asked if I lost something!) “Checking on our new Lenten rose” makes sense to them. Wearing a path in my lawn in April, not so much. :)

Re: A Year of Bouquets From the Garden
Beautiful! absolutely loved this—although it left me longing for summer! I give away a lot of cut flowers also, so many that the recipients often gift me with extra vases, which I interpret as encouragement to keep up the practice. Dreaming about what might be suitable for tomorrow’s arrangement is always a good excuse—if I need one—to wander around our borders. Daylilies, though, I’ve never included them. Thanks for the inspiration!!

Re: March in Carla’s Garden
Thanks for introducing me to “stinzplanten.” I had no idea that there was a specific Dutch name for the practice! Last fall I introduced my newly married and wannabe gardener granddaughter to the idea of planting crocuses in her lawn. We both enjoyed them last week in our separate lawns, but this morning they are under a heavy blanket of snow.

Re: Not Only Violets Are Blue: Part 1
Are you referring to the fact that the same garden is featured two days in a row? Or that the second set of photos weren’t posted, but instead the same GPOD was posted? Personally, I have no issue with the first, but it’s disappointing when there’s a rerun.

Re: A Year of Bouquets From the Garden
I typed your name into the search line and found two pieces with your name. One is a garden. Maybe you missed it when it was published?
